TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Cancellation Policy

Sessions cancelled by the customer, at short notice or missed for whatever reason (within 10 days of start time) will require payment in full.

If your driving instructor cancels a session with less than 10 days’ notice, a new appointment will be arranged free of charge in lieu.

Your instructor reserves the right to cancel a session at short notice where he feels that safety may be compromised. e.g. due to adverse weather conditions. In this case a new appointment will be arranged as a replacement lesson at the earliest possible time to suit both customer and instructor.

It is your responsibility to check times and dates of sessions.

Payments

Payment is required for all individual sessions and courses at time of booking.

Payment will be made securely online with your debit or credit card via the relevant page on this website or via a dedicated payment link or via EFT (Bank Transfer) as agreed.

There will no surcharge for payments by debit or credit card. Payments are powered by Stripe. No card information is stored on this server.

Licence Requirements

All customers must have a valid Irish Learner Permit or Full Irish Driving Licence on their person when undertaking lessons or courses. Full driving licences from other countries will be allowed on the basis that these licences comply with Irish legislative rules.

Please note that the training cannot go ahead if:

The attendee does not have their driving licence on their person on the day (copies/photos will not suffice).

Penalty Points

Penalty points incurred by customers during lessons will be the full responsibility of the customer i.e. the person driving the car notwithstanding the fact that the person may be under instruction.

Customer Vehicles

All training will be delivered in customer vehicles. Customer vehicles must satisfy all legal requirements. They must be roadworthy, taxed and insured as appropriate with valid discs displayed as per current legislation. A valid NCT disc (if applicable) must also be displayed as per current legislation. L Plates/N Plates must be displayed as appropriate. Customers must be insured to drive the vehicle used for their lessons.

Your instructor will carry out vehicle checks prior to commencement of lessons to ensure legal compliance. Lack of legal compliance will result is cancellation of the lesson with full costs to customer.

Please note that the training cannot go ahead if:

The tax and insurance or NCT/CVRT discs (if required) are not displayed and valid.

The vehicle is not roadworthy e.g. if there any warning lights displayed (including tyre pressure warning indicators), if tyres are below minimum legal standards or any other aspect that affects roadworthiness.

Insurance

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their vehicles are insured appropriately. All training will be delivered in customer vehicles. Any liability, claims or costs associated with incidents arising during driver training sessions, when the customer is the driver, will be responsibility of the customer. The trainer will have no liability in this regard.

If the trainer is driving the customer’s vehicle for the purposes of a demonstration drive, insurance cover will be provided by your trainer.

Drugs and Alcohol

Your instructor reserves the right to cancel sessions if he has reason to believe that the customer is unfit to drive. If this situation occurs, the customer will be liable for full payment of session(s).

It is a requirement that customers who are taking prescription or illegal drugs must declare this at the commencement of the session(s).

Complaints Procedures

Please bring any complaints that you may have to your instructor’s notice and he will endeavour to address the situation. If you are not satisfied, you may then make reference to the regulator of Approved Driving Instructors in Ireland (The RSA) who will consider the matter and advise accordingly.

Refund Policy

Full course instalment fees are non-refundable. Refunds will not be made for ADI Study Packs or for any other books, written works or aids purchased.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for the services offered on the gift voucher for 1 year from date of purchase. Gift vouchers are non-refundable. The monetary values of gift vouchers voucher are valid for 5 years from date of purchase against any services offered by Colm Branigan.

Advanced Driver Training

All Terms and Conditions listed above are applicable.

All Advanced Driver Training sessions will take place in North Dublin (unless otherwise agreed).

All Advanced Driving Training customers must have a valid Full Irish Driving Licence on their person when undertaking sessions.

Driving Instructor Training

All Terms and Conditions listed above are applicable.

All driving instructor training sessions will take place in North Dublin.

All Driving Instructor Training customers must have a valid Full Irish Driving Licence on their person when undertaking sessions.

Learner Driver Training

All Terms and Conditions listed above are applicable.

All Learner Driver customers must have a valid Irish Learner Permit on their person when undertaking sessions.
